CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY OF SOUTHWEST AIRLINES 

Southwest Airlines has one of the flexible flight change and cancellation policies. This airline allows you to make changes or cancel the flight tickets without paying any extra fee. The cancellation policy varies by the type of flight ticket purchased.


SOUTHWEST AIRLINES CANCELLATION

WANNA GET AWAY TICKETS 

  • Wanna Get Away tickets are the lowest price fares that Southwest Airlines offers.

  • If you cancel a Wanna Get Away fare that you purchased with cash, the entire purchase price will be saved as reusable travel funds for future use.

  • Customers can cancel their flight tickets up to 10 minutes before the scheduled flight. 

BUSINESS SELECT, ANYTIME AND SENIOR TICKETS 

  • If you cancel your Business Select, Anytime or Senior tickets, 100% of your purchased price will be refunded to your original form of payment.

  • Your ticket price will be transferred to travel fund for future purchases.

GIFT CARDS AND COMPANION PASS 

  • If you’ve purchased a flight ticket with a gift card, it is considered non-refundable.

  • Any tax paid while booking a Southwest companion pass fares is fully refundable to the original form of payment.

REFUND POLICY 

  • Southwest Airlines cancellation offers a full refund within 24 hours of original purchases.

  • After 24 hour refund period has passed, the price of non-refundable tickets is applied to future travel within one year of the original purchase date.

    According to Southwest Change Flight Policy only the confirmed booking is eligible for changes. The airline changes the flight and date in some cases and that are listed below: The Southwest airline change flight date and plan when:
